Red Fife Flour
2 lb of our fresh Red Fife flour milled-to-order. Our flour can be used in baking and in making homemade pasta. Since the flour is lower in gluten, it doesn’t rise as easily when making bread. The best way to use it in baking bread is to mix with another flour or to make a sourdough (highly recommended). As It’s a bit denser and more absorbent, it needs a little more liquid (ex. eggs) than usual when baking. Our flour gives baked goods a slightly nutty flavour.
